This section gives help for common problems when logging in to the Imagebank.
Note to users registered before Sept. 2006
If you registered before September 2006 then all your settings and information were migrated later in 2006. However, the
Imagebank∞ will now accept only passwords greater than 6 characters long. If your previous password was less than 6 characters long, then we have added AAAA to the END of your password.
So, for example, if your previous password was bta, it will now be btaAAAA.
Case sensitive
The most common cause of users having problems logging in is the use of
upper∞ and
lower case∞ letters. The
Imagebank∞ login is sensitive to upper and lower case - so, for example, if your password is A5b452 then you will not be able to log in with a password of a5b452 or A5B452. The same goes for your username.
Cookies
Another common cause of problems is when
cookies∞ are blocked. The
Imagebank∞ makes a "note" that you are logged in using a
cookie∞, stored on your computer. This only tells the
Imagebank∞ that you are logged in - it's used to make sure every page knows you are logged in, But if you have your security settings on high, then it's possible the cookie will be rejected. If this is the case, please add the imagebank site to your list of allowed sites. There are instructions on how to allow cookies at
http://www.google.com/cookies.html∞
Blocked User
We will block your account if you have entered an invalid email address, and/or have failed to provide other details marked with a * on registration. Your account will also be blocked for aperiod if you enter incorrect login details on the account (3 retries are allowed). To unblock your account,
email us∞.
