This page describes how to edit an image in the Imagebank∞ before downloading.

Editing before downloading

For most images image editing facilities are shown to give some control over the final image downloaded. If the image editing buttons are not displayed, this is almost certainly a result of problems reading and manipulating certain of the older images in the bank. Over time we hope to make the necessary changes to allow all images to be edited online. Sizing and editing controls are as follows;

Contrast and brightness

The contrast and brightness can be altered using the buttons to the left of the image, as follows;

Increase the brightness. Press several times to make the effect larger.

Decrease the brightness. Press several times to make the effect larger.

Increase the contrast. Press several times to make the effect larger.

Decrease the contrast. Press several times to make the effect larger.

Once you have adjusted the image, place the cursor over the image shown and click on the right hand mouse button, then select to save as .. or copy. If you copy the image you will be able to paste it directly into your presentation software. Please note that the Download button on the left will download the original image, not the adjusted image.
